This bed is great. It is in my son's room with all the other pieces. The quality for the price is fantastic. Looks really great and is sturdy. Was very easy to assemble. The only thing that we ran across is that the drawers were a little tight. To solve this problem just be very aware of the positioning of the metal front on the drawer. We get so many compliments on how sharp it looks.

Prior to this purchase, I had them sleeping on a softly upholstered wooden bed frame, scented gently by its natural solid oak finish, complete with a box spring to support their mattress firmly. But times have changed, and the moment I got a pay raise, I trashed their beds and ordered two Elite shelf units with metal wires. Its signature metal headboard is cold and impersonal to the touch... finally, and asylum from the warm insulating grip of the wood and cotton. The shelves below aptly reclaim the space wasted by the solid bed stabilizing box spring.
In conclusion, there is no furniture on Amazon that captures the spirit of being elite more than the image of my children sleeping on a fine shelving unit.

When I first saw this bed, I thought it was beautiful. A must have for my son's bedroom. Boy was I wrong. I ordered the twin size bed, but it is MUCH bigger than a twin mattress. The slots under the matress remain exposed and it is very possible for an arm or leg to get caught(more than a 3 inch gap). Teenagers and preteens may not find this to be a safety issue but for the younger set it most definitely IS a HAZAARD. After I assembled it (which took 3 hrs and a week because they originally hadn't sent me the screws, bolts, manual, etc), and threw the mattress on top, I can't even begin to describe how horribly disappointed I was. when I tried to place something between the matress and the wall (to hide the openings) not only did it look sloppy, but it wouldn't stay in place because the matress was slipped and slided all over the slick metal rods. With one finger I was able to push the matress NOT GOOD AT ALL. My son slept in my bed that night and I took this bed apart first thing in the morning.
After speakin with the company about the FAULTY DESIGN OF THE BED, they basically said i was screwed, and that after restocking, and return shipping, the grand total of my refund would be $19.36 WHAT?!?! Needless to say I will NOT be returning it, I have already found a buyer for it. An adult buyer.
